Armin Faes is a Basel institution and knows Basel like the back of his hand. He is the author of four books about Basel and the Basel dialect. His deep knowledge about the traditions and history of Basel – including the Fasnacht – are overwhelming.

Background
As an editor, and later as editor-in-chief and publishing director, he worked for several Basel newspapers. Today he is still editorially active and responsible for the Kleinbasler Zeitung. Armin is a co-founder of the "Glaibasler Charivari" and has been chairman of this pre-Fasnacht event for many years.
Being a member of the board of "Pro Innerstadt/Standortkonzept Basel", Armin was responsible for the coordination of the project «Basler Weihnacht» and is still very much connected with Basel today.
